We assess adults for drug treatment at our Phoenix residential and outpatient facilities. Clinical needs, any required external withdrawal care, and program availability guide admission and level-of-care choices.
PHP and IOP access from Phoenix neighborhoods
For adults in Uptown, Arcadia, Ahwatukee or other Phoenix neighborhoods, the first decision is the amount of clinical support needed. Our Phoenix PHP meets five days a week, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., including an hour of breaks and lunch on-site. Confirm the outpatient address, a safe place to stay and transportation for the full schedule. A Phoenix address alone does not make daily attendance practical.
IOP meets five days a week for three hours, usually 9 a.m.–noon or 6–9 p.m. Ask about day, evening, telehealth or hybrid IOP based on clinical fit. Residential care provides treatment while you live at our Phoenix residential facility. Assessment may instead point to standard outpatient care, an independent detox provider or hospital-level care.
Drug use, alcohol and mental health
Share all substance use, prescribed medications, withdrawal concerns and mental health symptoms during assessment. We can assess adults for primary mental health treatment, substance use treatment or dual diagnosis in residential, PHP and IOP paths. A prescriber evaluates medication needs. Suboxone may be offered when appropriate; we do not offer methadone. Nirvana does not provide on-site medical detox or withdrawal management.
Returning home and comparing local options
Before discharge, agree on follow-up appointments, medication continuity, a safe living situation and transportation. Use SAMHSA FindTreatment to compare independent local services. Phoenix-area AA and Arizona NA provide current voluntary peer-support listings alongside treatment. Check meeting and provider details directly. Resource links checked October 12, 2026.
Nirvana Recovery does not provide onsite medical detox or withdrawal-management services. When clinically appropriate, our admissions team can help coordinate an external referral to an independent provider. That provider makes its own assessment and admission decisions. Admission to Nirvana depends on clinical assessment, any required medical clearance, and program availability. These choices are not a required sequence; clinical assessment guides the appropriate level of care.
