Personalized Residential Treatment Care for Anthem Adults
Plan treatment and family access together
Nirvana serves adults at its Phoenix facilities. We do not operate a residential facility in Anthem. If you are comparing residential care with treatment closer to home, start with the clinical needs that make living at a treatment facility appropriate, then consider how family involvement and continuing care will work.
We offer residential treatment, PHP, IOP and outpatient care. Primary mental health residential, PHP and IOP paths are available. We do not provide on-site detox or inpatient hospital care. Admissions can discuss an assessment and whether another setting is needed first.
Questions to answer before admission
- Will I need medical withdrawal management or hospital stabilization before entering treatment?
- How are family sessions arranged, and can residential family sessions use telehealth?
- Who will handle transportation, medication information and responsibilities at home?
- What follow-up appointments and support should be arranged before discharge?
For residential care, an RN or LCSW is on-site around the clock, psychiatric visits occur two to three times weekly and an MD is available on call. Ask how that staffing fits your individual needs and how your current prescriptions will be reviewed. Treatment length depends on assessment and progress.
Build support beyond the treatment stay
Consider whether appointments in Phoenix will remain practical after discharge or whether referrals closer to Anthem would better support continuity. Metro Phoenix AA meetings and Arizona NA meetings can help you explore voluntary peer support alongside clinical care. Call 480-764-2335 to discuss assessment, family access and insurance benefits. Insurance and Cost Questions
We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna. Ask admissions to verify your specific plan, authorization requirements and expected personal costs. Verification does not guarantee coverage, insurer payment or admission.
Nirvana does not accept AHCCCS or Medicare. If you need an AHCCCS care route, use the official provider directory and confirm participation with the provider and your plan. You can also compare independent services through SAMHSA FindTreatment.
Before making travel arrangements, request a written cost estimate, ask which services are included and confirm any current payment options. Request a benefits check or call 480-764-2335. Share sensitive insurance details through the admissions process.
Before you arrange treatment or travel
Confirm clinical eligibility, the correct Phoenix address, any external detox or medical-clearance requirement, current program availability and your expected costs. An admissions inquiry does not confirm admission or payment. For treatment questions, call 480-764-2335 or contact admissions.
Choosing an Adult Treatment Level
Residential care in Phoenix
Adults live at our Phoenix residential facility while following an assessed treatment plan for substance use, primary mental health or co-occurring needs. Residential care is distinct from inpatient hospitalization. Patients who need hospital-level care require a higher level of care.
PHP and IOP attendance
PHP meets five days a week, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., including an hour of breaks and lunch on-site. You need safe housing outside program hours. IOP meets five days a week for three hours, usually 9 a.m.–noon or 6–9 p.m. Telehealth and hybrid IOP may be appropriate after assessment. Ask whether the schedule, transportation and technology requirements fit your situation.
Alcohol, drugs and mental health needs
Tell the team about alcohol or drug use, prescribed medications and mental health symptoms. Explore our alcohol treatment, drug treatment and residential treatment information. Nirvana does not provide on-site medical detox or withdrawal management. If needed, an independent provider assesses and manages that care before appropriate admission.
Ask which clinician reviews eligibility, medications, progress and discharge plans. Recovery outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Call or text 988 for a mental health or suicide crisis, and call 911 for a medical emergency.
