Group Therapy

Group therapy is a type of talk therapy held at least once a week, led by one or more psychologists and a group of up to approximately 15 people. These groups typically target one or more illnesses or addictive behaviors, such as alcoholism, drug abuse or mental health issues.
Group therapy is usually used in conjunction with other types of therapy, particularly individual therapy. In this type of treatment, members of the group speak openly about their own personal struggles and offer insights into how they address these issues in a positive manner. Simply knowing you’re not alone and learning how others tackle their own problems can be helpful during recovery.

Individual Counseling

Drug addiction therapy takes on many different approaches. For many, individual therapy can bring immeasurable results. But it is essential to understand its vital benefits, so that you can have the best chance at recovery.
Individual therapy allows for a safe, confidential space where you can discuss any issues or struggles in your addiction journey with a professional therapist. This individualized attention allows for personalized treatment plans.

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP)

PHP is a program offered at Nirvana Recovery Center program often used to treat various mental health conditions. Often, an individual will go from inpatient care to PHP to help ease them back into a daily routine. PHP can include treatment from a wide range of health care providers, including therapists, psychiatrists and general practitioners.
PHP treatment is usually divided into different treatment groups. For example, you may attend PHP for bipolar disorder, while another program may be used to treat eating disorders. This type of outpatient treatment lasts up to eight hours a day and up to five days per week. The total length of time you receive care may vary depending on your condition.

Intensive outpatient programming (IOP)

IOP is commonly used for mental health issues and addiction. IOP is ideal for those who don’t require detox or maximum supervision. In IOP, you can continue your daily routine and even receive outpatient treatment at night. Individuals who live in a safe and supportive environment and control of their recovery efforts are excellent candidates for IOP.
